8 Dec 17 WD40

Sprayed WD40 around the alternator area to protect against the aluminium corrosion. Gave the area around the radiator a wipe to remove some of the built-up grime. Also sprayed oil cooler unions at the front with WD40 so they can be removed to gain access to the Distributer cap as this needs inspection. Also sprayed the cover for the brake and clutch master cylinders so that I can remove them later and inspect beneath. Noted this area under the bonnet is quite corroded so will need repainting. Other areas under the bonnet while grimy, are essentially sound. Researched removal of the bonnet, this would make working under the bonnet a lot easier especially where I am removing components which are near the scuttle.
