Just a few snaps from the VSCC meeting at Prescott earlier. Glorious informal atmosphere and a beautiful setting on this late summer day. I’m sorry I don’t know all the makes and models but all the usual suspects – Bentley, MG, Riley, Alvis, Ford adj some rarer stuff like Hudson. My friend and I got a bit obsessed looking at the array of front suspension damping – many had so-called friction dampers, but there seemed to be lots of different ways to set them up with some even having twin damper set ups. Later ones had lever arm hydraulic dampers which would have led to telescopic dampers and modern set ups. Super interesting stuff.
